DMH Stallard has enjoyed previous successes at the South East Dealmakers Awards. Last year

Jonathan Grant won Corporate Lawyer of the Year and in 2014 the firm secured the Corporate

Law Firm of the Year Award. Abigail Owen has also previously won the Corporate Lawyer of the

Year Award in both 2013 and 2014.

The Insider’s South East Dealmakers Awards are awarded based part on voting, but supported

this year by selection from those involved in deals and able to apply some quality judgement.

Jonathan Grant said: “It’s an honour to have been shortlisted in the Corporate Lawyer of the Year

category for a second year running. For us it is really about the clients and professionals we work

with, making sure we continue to deliver great quality deals for the region, and help local

businesses like Brightwave and Small Batch grow.”

Abigail Owen commented: “I’m delighted to have been shortlisted for the Corporate Lawyer of

the Year Award for the third time. 2015 was a very busy year for us with our clients progressing

their businesses through acquisitions, sales, management buy-outs or joint ventures. We acted

on a number of interesting regional transactions as well as international. 2016 looks to be a

promising year too.”

Philip Cunliffe, regional business editor at Insider, said: “It’s been another highly successful year

for the corporate finance community. There is no doubt the firms that are up for awards this year

are the very cream of the crop. All are at the top of their game, have proved they have first-class

credentials and all deserve to be shortlisted.”

The winners of Insider’s South East Dealmakers Awards will be announced at the gala dinner

taking place at the Copthorne Hotel, Effingham Park, Crawley on 4 February 2016.
