£8,000 given out at the Joint Eastern Arun CLC

Providing funding for good causes was top of the agenda at the Joint Eastern Arun County Local Committee.
Six local community projects received funding at the meeting, which also saw 30 mph speed limits in Ferring and a new crossing near River Beach Primary School approved.
The six organisations to receive Community Initiative Funding were:
• Voluntary Action Arun and Chichester – £500
• Littlehampton’s Organisation of Contemporary Art – £1,000
• Mewsbrook Park Community Support Group – £1,000
• Sussex Community Rail Partnership – £1,500
• Littlehampton Sportsfield – £2,000
• Men in Sheds – £2,000
A total of £30,000 has now been allocated for worthy causes in the Eastern Arun area.
The Joint Eastern Arun Area Committee covers Angmering, East Preston, Ferring, Kingston, Littlehampton and Rustington.
