The Eastbourne Historic Vehicle Club continued their long standing support of Eastbourne lifeboats with another generous donation at their recent monthly meeting.
In total, £2000 was donated to local charities during the club’s monthly meeting at the Red Lion in Stone Cross following last Augusts successful Hellingly Festival of Transport, an event which has raised more than £100,000 for good causes in its 38 year history.
EHVC secretary David Bone said, “Plans are well in hand for this year’s event and we are expecting another bumper turnout plus hopefully some dryer weather”. Accepting a cheque for £750 Eastbourne lifeboat Coxswain Mark Sawyer thanked the club for their continued support which he said will enable one of the busiest lifeboat stations in the country to continue their lifesaving work.
