Time to Get Knotted in Worthing

NoFitState the UK’s leading large-scale contemporary circus company comes to Worthing for three performances of their new production, Noodles, at the Connaught Theatre on Friday 23rd and Saturday 24th January.

In a sea of irreverent chaos and a world of knots, wires and spaghetti, a cooking show loses the plot as the noodles take over. Aerialists, hand-balancers, wire-walkers, contortionists and magicians twist and bend the frontiers of reality. Noodles is the perfect lunch time dish, light-hearted and surreal with a side of complete madness.

NoFitState celebrate the contradictions within themselves and within their work, creating beautiful carnage and organised anarchy and always endeavour to be seriously exciting and classically fresh. They are known around the world for groundbreaking productions that challenge preconceptions of contemporary circus.

With Noodles, the team takes a run at the barriers between circus and theatre; re-inventing themselves and moulding their work for the theatre stage. Nofitstate is best known for their large-scale big top and outdoor productions however Noodles is a new and exciting direction into creating work for theatre spaces.

For this project they have teamed up with Maksim Komaro, and together they set out to put a Circus into a Theatre not Theatre into Circus. With a very progressive and experimental application of the circus techniques they have created something beautiful, something abstract, something amazing, something totally different and something for everyone.
