On the 15th December there is a pleasant opportunity to escape from the hustle, bustle and madness of Christmas shopping and preparation. Doesn’t that sound an enticing idea, so what does this welcome diversion involve then?
Well Laurie Wilkinson, Eastbourne’s local and prolifically published poet, is having a book signing for his new and latest book “Poet Reveals All”, at The Old Court House Pevnsey at 3.00pm. He will be reading some of his poems from the new book, answering questions, talking about his support, promotion of, and donations to Help for Heroes, whilst also explaining about all of his other “Poetry World” involvements too!
With refreshments provided, and a continuation in The Royal Oak and Castle pub next door at 5.00pm you just cannot go wrong whilst swerving The Christmas shopping for a while!
All Revealed
There may be nostalgia and surprises
When your inner world is revealed,
By the peeling away of barriers
That many secrets had concealed.
For everyone has private thoughts
Perhaps buried deep and never seen,
But confronted by observing words
You may learn what they can mean.
So allow perceptive insights in
To a world where they are known,
As it may be comforting to discover
Some fears are not yours alone.

The Old Court House is just along from Pevensey castle between the village of Westham and Pevensey and of course Pevensey castle should not be confused with the quite near Herstmonceux castle about three miles or so away! There is plenty of parking just along from the castle entrance. Sounds too good to be true, so see you there!
