HEFFLE COURT SHORTLISTED FOR NATIONAL AWARD

Dementia specialist care home, Heffle Court, Heathfield, East Sussex, has been shortlisted for Excellence in Dementia Care at the national Laing and Buisson independent care awards.

The 39-bed residential home is no stranger to award success and last year walked off with Best Dementia Care Home award at the National Dementia Awards. This year they have been nominated for their focus on treating residents as individuals, strong team and for their pioneering centre. Heffle Court benefits from a purpose-built design, which offers residents maximum freedom inside and out, and has a completely safe walking circuit around the home.

Debby Potter, Home Manager, Heffle Court, says: “Our team is passionate about helping residents and their friends and families make the most of their experience at Heffle Court. We’ve worked hard to create a positive place for residents to live and have filled the home with areas to reminisce, including beach huts, a tea room, post office and retro film lounge. We also have a small holding in the grounds which has proved immensely popular with residents and visitors.”

She continued: “I would also like to thank my staff for working so hard over the past twelve months, being shortlisted for another national award is amazing recognition.”

Heffle Court is part of the Caring Homes Group, which was established in 1994 by registered nurse Helena Jeffery and her son Paul. Since then the company has grown to become one of the most highly respected independent care and support providers in the UK.
The winners of the Laing Buisson Awards will be announced at a gala awards evening on 11 November at the Lancaster Hotel, London.
