It’s not just the roads and pavements that need to be put right for safety’s sake. Our local representative, namely our MP has to have her photograph taken every time she does something. Whether it is to prove that it was successful or not is not the issue. They are the wrong issues that this County and every other County is facing.
Nothing has been done to mend the roads and pavements and it is no good contacting the Councillors about this problem. They seem to get upset and start giving us Joe Public excuses why they can’t do this task, something about “NO MONEY IN THE KITTY”, even though on the news we keep hearing that the government has given each COUNCIL money specially to repair the holes in the road.
It is the same old FAIRY STORY – of course they can’t help it, being just robot-slaves of the government. You don’t have to have a brain if you join the Conservatives, you get orders on a daily basis on what to say! Honestly, have you ever known a Tory Minister answer your question? A friend has pointed out that none of the roads in this County have been repaired properly – just patched up…..and the holes just keep coming back!
Didn’t I state in one of my columns that somebody would come up with the idea that Joe Public will be paying for the Governments mistakes, namely, THE POST OFFICE SCANDAL in a devious way. Some Councils are putting £100 more on the Council Tax. Obviously haven’t heard of the COST OF LIVING CRISIS. I suppose if you earn £100,000 and above it doesn’t matter to them, but it does if you are a Pensioner.
I don’t suppose the Council responsible for repairing the roads realise that they are putting lives at risk each day by their callous actions of not doing the job they have been voted in for. They are supposed to serve the people by making this County safe! What happened to their manifesto? They only won this County by stating they would honour their manifesto, what a load of liars they are!
Just a reminder:
Another thing, the person who received a C.B.E., and although she has given it back, should go to prison for causing so much pain and distress and also causing the deaths of people who committed suicide. Should we start a petition for this to happen?
I think the government have lost their way and their honesty. The truth and the promise of serving the people with integrity has flown from their hands and most of all forgotten those who gave their lives for our freedom!
