Meet our property expert Denise Whittington

Denise Whittington was born and grew up in South London and Surrey. After graduating from Exeter University with a degree in Social Studies, she moved to Brighton where she has lived ever since.

Starting her career as a market research executive, she then went on to carry out a 5 year housing research study for the Government.


After having her children Denise went to work for the Lewis Cohen Urban Studies Centre at Brighton University writing and publishing information leaflets on local facilities for local people. Whilst there she also organised a centenary exhibition for the Madeira Lift and helped to edit other publications produced by the Centre.


Her career continued with several years working for the Housing Department at Lewes District Council and a period at Eastbourne Housing Aid and Law Centre.


In 1997, Denise set up her own property company - Lets Go – which specialises in residential lettings. The business is very client focused offering an integrated approach to landlords who may also require sales and maintenance services. Denise writes regular articles for local papers and magazines on current trends in lettings.


Denise enjoys spending her leisure time with husband and family. Her interests include architecture, France, history, reading, writing, travelling, good food & wine.

Denise will be writing a regular property column for TSN starting from this week.
