• Paul Nelson, 44, from Uckfield wins £200k with a double play
• The same numbers played 2 days in a row in local Tesco
• 7 £100k winning tickets on 5th November
Luck stuck twice for Paul Nelson, 44 from Uckfield who has become the first winner of The Health Lottery to win the top prize of £100,000 with 2 separate tickets! Paul purchased both of his tickets from his local Tesco, Bell Farm Road in Uckfield on 2 consecutive days using playcards. “I spent £5 altogether on The Health Lottery last week. I’d forgotten I had already played the numbers so ended up playing them again the next day. I can’t believe my luck!”
Paul found out he had won on Sunday night when he asked in a local store for the numbers from the draw on 5th November. He was amazed to discover that he had matched all 5 numbers on both of his tickets. He had selected the numbers at random but repeated one of his lines on both playcards. Paul then waited until Monday morning to tell his partner once he had called the helpline to confirm.
Still shocked from discovering he had won Paul hasn’t decided what to do with his £200k as yet. “I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the money yet but I think we'll go on a nice holiday first” he said.
Following his good fortune Paul will continue playing The Health Lottery. “I spent £5 on Health Lottery tickets for the draw. I won £50 a few weeks ago for matching 3 numbers so thought I’d keep playing. The playcard is a great reminder” he said. “I'll definitely keep playing The Health Lottery”.
