The birth of a child is always memorable, but little Megan Louise Campsey should never have any problems with people forgetting her birthday. Megan entered the world at precisely 11.11am on 11th November 2011 – or 11.11/11/11/11 if you prefer – when she was born at Worthing Hospital.
Having a child on Remembrance Day was especially poignant for mum Gill, whose grandfather Lionel Netherton was a veteran of the Second World War. “She is absolutely beautiful,” she said. “I always knew I would have a little girl to go with our son, and it is particularly good for me because I love pink!
“It just feels right for her to be born today, on Remembrance Day. My late grandfather fought in World War II, and he used to sell poppies outside the old Tesco in Durrington.”
Gill lives in Tarring with husband Damian and Dominic, two and a half. Damian is a kitchen fitter and Gill is an HR officer.
Carole Garrick, Head of Midwifery said: “We are thrilled for them. The birth of a baby is such a special event, whatever the date, but at least in this case we can guarantee that
her birthday will never slip anyone’s mind.”
Publicist Kizzi Nkwocha said: "Megan has one of the most memorable birthdates this century. This little girl is destined for great things."
