As the latest of the region’s pantomimes springs into life, The White Rock Theatre, Hastings cast, led by Union J’s Jaymi Hensley, meet at Hastings’ Adventure Golf for the official launch of Peter Pan, which appears at the theatre from Friday 16th December.
On a scorching hot day, Jaymi is joined at the pantomime launch by Shaun Chambers, who will be playing Captain Hook and Nina Bell who takes on the role of Wendy and they all show just how incredibly excited they are to be part of this year’s swashbuckling pantomime.
Having trained at the prestigious BRIT School for Performing Arts Jaymi Hensley joined the boyband Triple J in 2011, a popular trio who entered the ninth series of ITV’s The X Factor. With an additional bandmate the band reformed as Union J winning over the judges and audiences and coming fourth in the annual television talent competition.
Since then Union J went on to great success releasing the popular hit singles ‘Carry You’, ‘Tonight (We Live Forever)’ and ‘You Got It All’ as well as two studio albums, their self-titled top ten album Union J and You Got It All – The Album.
Speaking about his role, Jaymi says: “I’m so excited to be doing my first professional pantomime and playing Peter Pan, is a life-long dream come true. I can’t wait to fly across the stage and face the evil Captain Hook, although having faced Simon Cowell on the X Factor I’m sure I’ll be just fine.”
Produced by One From The Heart in association with HQ Theatres, the partnership behind previous record-breaking pantomimes at the White Rock Theatre, Peter Pan will be brought spectacularly to life with an abundance of comedy, sensational song and dance numbers, fabulous costumes and stunning scenery.
Jaymi Hensley will star as Peter Pan at the White Rock Theatre, Hastings from Fri 16th December until Sat 31st December 2016. Book tickets today at whiterocktheatre.org.uk or by calling the Ticket Office on 01424 462288.
