A Sussex company has launched an innovative scarf aimed at doing away with the problem of dogs fouling public areas.
The Poo-chi Scarf is described by its makers, Lovely Silks, as a ‘stylish, affordable and practical’ scarf for dogs that also helps conscientious owners deal with picking up after their pets.
Unlike other pet scarves, The Poo-chi scarf is designed with a discreet pocket for carrying disposable bags which means that picking up after your best friend is never a problem.
Lovely Silks’ innovative Poo-chi Scarf is the winner of The Sussex Newspaper 2015 Innovative Product Of The Year Award.
The scarves are bright, fun, made from seasonal cotton fabrics and reasonably priced.
Sussex Newsaper editor Kizzi Nkwocha said: “Estimates put the UK dog population between 6.5 and 7.4 million, producing 1,000 tonnes of waste per day. It’s not surprising that dog fouling is a major issue in many areas of the UK. The Poo-chi Scarf is a simple but ingenious solution to a problem that all of us dog lovers have to deal with.”
Lovely Silks owner, Jacqueline Rose, said: “The Lovely Silks team have been overwhelmed by the public response to the Poo-chi Scarf. We’ve had orders coming in from all over the world. Winning The Sussex Newspaper Innovative Product of The Year Award is the perfect icing on the cake.”
The Poo-chi Scarf is priced between £5.95 to £9.95 and is available from www.lovelysilks.com
