Normans and Crusaders Clash at Arundel Castle this Easter

The Castle in West Sussex transported visitors back to 1215, with captivating showcases of 12th century combat, weaponry and crafts, all set within a period style encampment.

The event was truly alive with the sights sounds and smells of the late Norman period as visitors witnessed stunning falconry displays, ancient cookery demonstrations and thrilling archery shows. Plucky youngsters were also invited to test their own targeting skills with the event’s new and free feature – have-a-go archery.

The next event at Arundel Castle will be the Castle Siege, across the late May Bank Holiday weekend (27-29 May), where French and English forces will be pitted against each other in the quest to seize Arundel Castle.
