More than 100 ‘fantastic’ entries have already arrived for this year’s West Sussex-themed photo competition.
Running as part of Experience West Sussex – a campaign to promote the county as a tourist destination – the photo competition is looking for images inspired by one of three themes: Back to Nature, Cultural Encounters or New Experiences.
Prizes are being donated by businesses which feature on the Experience West Sussex website (www.experiencewestsussex.com) and include a trio of tickets for Chichester Festival Theatre, a meal at The Cat Inn near East Grinstead, a spooky Worthing History tour courtesy of ‘All-Inclusive History’ and tickets for the ‘Dawn Walking Safari’ on the Knepp Estate.
The deadline for entries is Saturday 9 September.
To enter, email photos to campaign@westsussex.gov.uk or tag the Experience West Sussex account on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and use the hashtag #MyWestSussex.
Louise Goldsmith, Leader of West Sussex County Council, said: “It’s wonderful to have such a fantastic response with over 100 entries and still time to go. It just goes to show that visitors believe that West Sussex has so many wonderful activities on offer to enjoy.
“I would really encourage everyone visiting and living here to explore over the summer, try something new and to enter the competition.”
The Experience West Sussex campaign is being led by West Sussex County Council, working with others including Coastal West Sussex Partnership.
The website aims to inspire with first-person accounts, activities and itineraries for getting out and about and exploring the county.
