Celebrities Meet Celebrity in Rosemary’s Kitchen

Fictional celebrity chef Caroline Mortimer got a chance to take some culinary tips from a real celebrity chef this week when Caroline Langrishe and the cast of Torben Bett’s supremely funny new play Caroline’s Kitchen, currently appearing at The Assembly Hall Theatre, Tunbridge Wells, spent the morning cooking up a feast in Rosemary Shrager’s Cookery School.

In the play Caroline Mortimer is the nation’s favourite TV cook. In the glow of the studio lights, she has it all – a sparkling career, a big house, a (golf) loving husband, a smart kid and the best kitchen money can buy. But when the camera turns off the truth comes out and when an unexpected guest disrupts a night of celebration there is more to spill than the wine…

Caroline Langrishe together with her on-stage husband Aden Gillett and son Tom England, her PA Jasmyn Banks, hunky builder James Sutton and his slightly crazy wife Elizabeth Boag left their characters safely back at the theatre and all joined in with creating one of Rosemary’s famous signature dishes.

A day at the Rosemary Shrager’s Cookery School is a must for anyone who shares her passion for real food. With over 40 cookery courses to choose from, designed to suit home cooks at every level, from the complete novice to the advanced and highly skilled. They will teach you to cook with imagination, passion and enjoyment. If you want to take your cookery skills to the next level she has a cookery course for you.

Rosemary Shrager’s professional career includes working under Pierre Hoffmann at the internationally famous Tante Claire restaurant in London and also a period working for Jean-Christophe Novelli. Rosemary began running her own cookery courses at Amhuinnsuidhe Castle and Swinton Park before opening a cookery school in Tunbridge Wells in 2013.

Her greatest joy in all her teaching is to inspire her students by sharing her own passion for food, equipping them with the knowledge of techniques and the confidence to use them to enjoy and experiment with their cooking. Our courses focus on recipes important to Rosemary, showcasing dishes that inspired her to become the acclaimed chef she is today.

Rosemary endeared herself to the nation when she took part in I’m a Celebrity, Get Me Out Of Here, where she proved she could cook just about anything, anywhere. She regularly appears on popular television series The Real Marigold Hotel, and, in 2017, was a much- loved judge on The Big Family Cooking Showdown. Rosemary regularly demonstrates and teaches her skills at shows and events across the country and abroad.
