It is 40 years since the Swedish super-group won Eurovision in Brighton and now it’s your chance to thank ABBA once again for the music! Abba Mania, considered the world’s number one touring ABBA tribute production, make their Eastbourne debut at the Congress Theatre on Friday 18th July.
The band have been presenting their acclaimed tribute concert since 2000 and have played across the UK, Europe and beyond; including a successful 18 week run at The Strand theatre in London’s West End, 24 consecutive shows at The Shiller Theatre in Berlin and selling 10,000 tickets in one night alone at the Cologne Arena! In 2004 the band were chosen to perform in a one off ABBA television special which was viewed by over 11 million people and broadcast throughout Europe.
This concert, with live band, celebrates the music of ABBA in a respectful and enjoyable way, reviving memories of when Benny, Bjorn, Agnetha and Frida ruled the airwaves.
The cast includes; Toby Boyle as Bjorn, Toby is a very experienced and versatile artist with over 20 years in the music business, Danny Gluckstein performs as Benny, Danny’s extensive and varied career includes working with artists including; Mica Paris, Sade, Mary J Blige, Boyzone and Westlife, he also co-wrote the international number 1 hit by Jazzy Jeff, Boom Boom Shake the Room!
With Carly Broome as Agnetha, Carley has toured with the National Youth Orchestra as lead vocalist, performing in venues nationwide including Ronnie Scotts and The Jazz Café and Katrina Wallis as Anni-Frid (Frida), Katrina has performed all over the world and toured with Richard Marx and Curtis Stigers.
