Micaela Sowerby, 19, from Leigh near Tonbridge, has been awarded the coveted Encouragement Prize for Creativity by Hillview School for Girls for the third year in a row. The prize is sponsored by Tonbridge-based luxury housebuilder Millwood Designer Homes, as part of the prestigious Encouragement Pack initiative that it runs with a number of schools in Kent and East Sussex.
Micaela has won the Millwood prize for Creativity three times for her A Level graphics work. At Hillview, Micaela studied Media Studies, Graphics, Drama and English Literature and Language, she is currently at Bournemouth University studying Communication and Media.

Good things clearly come in threes as Lucy Rimmer, from Tunbridge Wells, is the third Rimmer sister to win the coveted cup for A Level Geography, also awarded by Millwood Designer Homes, after her sisters Imogen and Isabel. An exceedingly gifted student at Tunbridge Wells Girls Grammar, Lucy is now studying medicine at Birmingham University.
Dr Rossane Brimsted, Deputy Head teacher at Tunbridge Wells Girls Grammar comments: “Lucy is a very deserving winner of the Millwood Designer Homes Cup this year. She is following in the family tradition as she is the third of her sisters to be our best Geographer and win this prestigious trophy. We have recently also heard that Lucy has been given an Award for Excellence in Geography by the Royal Geographical Society for having the highest A level examination score in the whole country for Edexcel A Level Geography. We are very proud of her at TWGGS.”
Lucy was also awarded a trophy, a £50 cheque and £50 book token for her tremendous efforts, by Sales Manager at Millwood, Lynne Smith.
