October will be the start of ‘Cat Month’ at Raystede, so why not walk on fire to help raise some much needed funds. Optional ‘Cat’ fancy dress is applied on the night so you could dress as a famous cat, a domestic cat, a wildcat, or any other cat that captures your imagination. Fancy dress is optional, but there will be a prize for the best dressed person.
To sign up we’re asking for a £10 registration fee, and that people try and raise £100 for Raystede. All the money raised will go to helping the animals, and the £100 fundraising target will help us provide food, a safe, temporary home and much needed socialisation for one of our feline friend’s for a week.
The fire walk will be held at Raystede and after a one hour training session by fire walking professionals, people will begin the exciting challenge of walking bare foot over red-hot wood embers measuring 500 degrees. After people have successfully walked, they will receive a celebratory glass of bubbly. There will be various entertainment throughout the evening and people are welcome to bring their friends and families.
You can sign up by visiting Raystede website (www.raystede.org) following this link: http://portal.raystede.org/portal/public/event/eventBooking.aspx?id=Firewalk16 or phone on 01825 840747.
