Last Christmas saw Blake team up with national treasure Dame Shirley Bassey for a version of ‘The Christmas Song (Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire)’, together they appeared on The Graham Norton Show, Strictly Come Dancing and The One Show in what was a busy festive season for the group on tour. On Monday 12th December they will be live at Worthing’s Connaught Theatre, as they sing their favourite Christmas Classics and recount tales of Christmas past to celebrate the most magical time of the year.
The BRIT award-winning trio will be performing timeless Christmas songs including ‘Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas’, ‘Frosty The Snowman’ and ‘Let It Snow’ with the warmth that their rich vocal harmonies deliver. They describe the show as an “all out Yuletide journey, through warm cosy fireside moments in our finest Bing Cosby festive jumpers, through to big anthemic classics where snow will actually fall inside the theatre!” It will be a spectacular evening, with the trio joined by choirs to back up their harmonies, as well as video projections of Christmas nostalgia. They’ll also be singing a ‘virtual duet’ with Dame Shirley Bassey, projected on the screens behind.
Blake’s CV of achievements include several No. 1, multi-platinum selling albums and over 150 TV appearances, as well as having won a Brit Award for Album of the Year. Famous fans include Keira Knightley, Ewan McGregor, Kevin Spacey and Will Smith. So far this year the group have been busy touring their show ‘Songs of Stage and Screen’ as well as being the headline act for Henley Festival with Dame Shirley Bassey. In 2017 they will celebrate their 10th anniversary with a new album.
The trio tour constantly throughout the world and take part in a vast amount of charity work, from performing for the Queen and Prince Harry at the Festival of Remembrance and the launch of the Walking With The Wounded South Pole Challenge, to working with the ‘Sing to Beat Breast Cancer’ Choir.
