Seaford Musical Theatre performers are bringing one of the world’s best loved musicals ‘Annie’, to the Barn Theatre, Seaford, as part of their 90th Anniversary celebrations.
Young actresses, Evie Heal and Darcey Puttock-West, are sharing the role of the iconic, feisty, orphan girl with Mandy Crnkovic playing the man-hungry, wicked Miss Hannigan.
Lee Johnson takes on the role of Daddy Warbucks, the role made famous by Albert Finney in the 1982 film, with the supporting roles of Grace, Rooster and Lily being played by Jo Salter, Dan Kerry and Natalie Steel.
Annie’s friends in the orphanage are being played by two teams of talented girls from the award-winning Junior section of Seaford Musical Theatre.
Director, Tony Betts, said: “I’m delighted to see that tickets are selling out so fast for our 90th anniversary show. The collaboration of the adult and junior section of the theatre has been a joy to direct – and when they say don’t work with children or animals, they obviously haven’t met our wonderful canine performer Spirit who is playing ‘Sandy’ the dog!”
The show starts on Friday 22nd September and runs over two weekends.
