Careers advice surgeries are held at Burgess Hill Town Council’s Help Point, 96 Church Walk to provide expert career advice to local people. A surgery is held every fortnight on Wednesday from 10am – 4pm and operates on an appointment only basis. The next advice sessions take place on 13 and 27 September.
The National Careers Service is FREE to all adults (aged 19+) and provides information, careers and skills advice tailored to the individual.
The adviser is able to help with writing a CV and how to target it to a particular job, interview skills and help to overcome interview anxiety, job search skills including writing speculative letters, completing application forms and searching on-line web sites and help with developing confidence and self-esteem to improve job prospects.
