Vote for Music!

Our nomination for this award is in recognition of the work that we do with children and young people with disabilities. From children’s wards, hospitals, specialist units and hospices to special school, inclusive clubs and holiday activities – we’re helping young people with disabilities make music.

Commenting on the nomination, Alastair Beddow, Chair of Trustees at Rhythmix, said:

“I am delighted that Rhythmix has been shortlisted in the Charity Today Awards, one of the leading national awards that recognises the valuable contribution that charities make to our society. This nomination represents a strong endorsement of the impact of the work Rhythmix is doing to enrich the wellbeing of people across the South East through music, particularly those with dementia, long-term health issues and disabilities, as well as our efforts to influence the national policy agenda about arts in healthcare settings. The Charity Today Awards nomination couldn’t have been possible without the hard work and dedication of all of our staff and supporters.”

About Rhythmix

Everyone knows someone who would benefit from what we do at Rhythmix. We all have experiences of friends or family members spending time in hospital, with a physical or learning disability, with Dementia, or mental health issues. Music can build a bridge and helps us connect again.

Rhythmix seeks out places where music isn’t happening and offers high quality music making to those struggling with some of life’s toughest challenges. We take music to places people don’t expect to see or hear it.
