You Get What You Wish For!

A complete whitewash by the Conservative Party with a majority that one can only dream of happening – a carte blanche to either carry out all the promised promises in their running up of the manifesto to the election or rescind all the policies with lame excuses.

I honestly want to believe this Prime Minister that he will keep his promised Election Manifesto to award those vital services such as the NHS, more POLICE on our streets and more DOCTORS and NURSES and not throw away the opportunity to make his mark in history for doing the right thing!

I suppose the nation voted for that magic word “BREXIT” and whether it will happen, one never knows!

I’m afraid that Jo Swinson leader of Lib-Dems was batting for the wrong side and didn’t heed the Gypsy’s warning regarding BREXIT – obviously not in line with the people who had voted in the referendum offered by David Cameron to leave Europe.  Voting for the Conservatives was the obvious choice because the people of England were worried that the result of the referendum was going to be ignored by the people who wanted out as this has happened many times before.

A hard lesson has been learnt by the opposing parties and there is nothing more daunting than the power of the people that should have been heeded.  With all the brains of the opposing parties, one of them should have had hindsight to see this outcome happening.

Although I have to state on a personal note that I am deeply disappointed that some new members of parliament do nothing in the way of supporting or working and meeting the people for the Hamlet, Town and City they are representing and it will be a serious case of de ja vue!

As part of the Christmas spirit I will end this column with a short Fairy Tale

Many moons ago there was once a Sir David who ruled this land and he issued a referendum to his people and asked them to vote in his favour and if they didn’t he announced there would wars, pillage, etcetera and if the vote was against him he was going to run away from his responsibilities to the people who trusted him.  He left and passed the buck to someone else who was honest and tried very hard to fulfil the peoples of this land a promise made by him.  But this person hadn’t counted that the opposition was much nearer than had been anticipated.  It wasn’t the people that she was representing who were against the deal but someone called Sir Jeremy who was the only one in the United Kingdom who listened to his monarch’s speech in the morning!   The End.

The above is just my opinion and anyone who wants to write to me care of the newspaper regarding the content – please do so!  Swear words are not accepted.
