A Penny Pinching Government!

I received yesterday my “FREE TV LICENCE” renewal valid until 31st July 2020 which the Labour Party gave us for the public who were over a certain age and although mooted it was the BBC who instigated this change to charge us old ones to purchase the necessary licence to view repeatable several times over rubbishy programmes, it is my belief that the Conservatives are secretly backing them.  Boris Johnson our erstwhile Prime Minister had received millions of signatures with special mentions from other celebrities for this to be scrapped.  The BBC stated they wanted to spend lots of money on SOAPS – not everybody watches SOAPS – this being a very lame excuse from a lame mind in charge of the BBC.

Yet again the Conservatives take away what little is comfort to those who enjoy television and it will be those persons who are single, poor and lonely to whom television is their only company in life.  Thinking about what this government have achieved which is next to nothing and going back in time the CONServatives had slashed ADULT SOCIAL CARE SERVICES, LIBRARIES, CARE HOMES and suggested new guide lines for Doctors, removed FUNDING from HOSPITALS and hoping to DESTROY THE NHS forcing Doctors and Nurses to seek employment abroad.

Now today, Boris Johnson’s life has been saved by the institution he tried to close down and does that make him feel grateful?  He said so at the time he thought the Doctors and Nurses were brilliant in the way that treatment was given to each and everyone.

But in another vein it is obvious that he is still backing the BBC to go ahead with charging Senior Citizens to pay £154.50 per year, despite the petition of millions of signatures.  Still closing down essential services and the list goes on and on – a penny pinching government playing with people’s lives!

The above is just my opinion and anyone who wants to write to me care of the newspaper regarding the content – please do so!  Swear words are not accepted.
