This Weekend Sees Live Events Return to the Region – AT LAST!

The summer has returned just in time for a quite monumental local event. Bravo Productions are bringing live performance back to the region with a three day outdoor events programme that includes something for everyone.

In the beautiful grounds of Tonbridge Castle, this Friday, Saturday and Sunday, the sounds of laughter, music, singing and the applause of the audience will be heard for the first time in many months and, with ticket prices as low as £15 per person, they represent a great opportunity to get out and enjoy the thrill of a live event again.

Outdoor performances, within the government’s guidelines, have been allowed to resume now and, with a whole host of additional safety arrangements in place, the programme of events is as follows…

Comedy at the Castle will be the first of the live events on Friday 11th September at 7:30pm. Hosted by Jade Gebbie and featuring Dinesh Nathan, Katherine Kenway and Alex Petrovic, the show will be headlined by the hilarious Sean Mcloughlin.

Sean has provided tour support for Ricky Gervais on his international ‘Humanity’ tour and for Bill Burr at the Royal Albert Hall, as well as for the likes of Doug Stanhope and Katherine Ryan.

After the last six months – who doesn’t need a good laugh right now?

The first music show takes place on Saturday 12th September at 7:30pm when Bravo Productions present Live: Onstage. The company are very proud of their local connections and are delighted to welcome local performers onstage, live in front of an audience for the first time since theatres and performance spaces went dark five months ago!

Join them for this very special night where they turn the lights back on and bring the stage to life with a selection of artistes performing a selection of their favourite covers, musical theatre classics and original songs.

The local talent in the Tonbridge area is just amazing and this is a show not to be missed!

The final event takes place on Sunday 13th September at 7:30pm when London’s leading classical-crossover sensation and West End Supergroup Ida perform, The Magic of Movies and Musicals. Join these four incredible ladies as they take you on a journey through your favourite moments from Hollywood to the West End and on to the Royal Opera House at Covent Garden.

Described as “Breathtaking” by Official London Theatre, these four stunning sopranos will bring to the stage a collection of re-worked operatic arias, chart-topping hits and, of course, musical theatre favourites in what promises to be the perfect ending to this fabulous three day festival of live performance.

On the international stage the Ida Girls have taken the world by storm. As seen on BBC One, these Classic Brit Award Nominees and Official Classical Charting group have most recently performed for Prince Edward at Windsor Castle.

They must have a thing for doing shows at castles!!

Because of the safety measures that are in place for these shows it is NOT possible to purchase tickets on the night. The organisers need to have everything sorted out before the audience arrive and so, as audience numbers are also reduced, it is absolutely vital to “book your bubble” in advance.

Full details can be found at https://www.bravoproductions.co.uk and ticket purchases can also be made here. There is a full audience guide available on the website and, as it is an outdoor event, audience members are welcome to bring along a picnic to enjoy before the performance.
