New Year Promises

What New Year resolutions are you going to make? Give up smoking, not an easy resolution to keep and especially when driving on the highway, with one hand on the wheel and a fag in the other hanging outside the car window.  Perhaps there are two New Year resolutions with this one – how to be a better driver with both hands on the wheel..

I now know where some drivers get their bad habits from, certainly not from BSM or any other professional based Company.  It is the private individuals who set up as a Driving Instructors, as I witnessed the other day when approaching a Roundabout. A car was giving a signal to turn left, but didn’t and had I taken notice of this I would have crashed into this car – so bad habits are being passed on to other drivers who are being taught by persons who have not read the Highway Code properly or passed an advanced driving course.  I think it would be safer for all road users if all private driving schools were checked for their abilities to be able understand how to drive properly.

Scammers!

I see that the persons who surf the Internet to make up SCAM EMAILS are getting rather complacent with their stories.  I have had the same sob story from a person who I know by name who had an advertisement in a magazine of which I am the Editor, who has been stuck in an AIRPORT HOTEL and has had his passport pinched along with all his cash and he has been stuck there for TWO YEARS!

A friend of mine received a SCAM EMAIL quite recently and it is quite obvious that the SCAMMER had not done his/her homework and chose a person who was a Minister of a local church who had performed a service on Christmas Day morning and according to the SCAM EMAIL he was, two days later 3,000 miles away trying to get back to the United Kingdom and had his passport and all his money stolen.  It must have been a very short holiday.  With the advancement of technology, there should be a device that you can purchase to attach to your computer that would be able to interpret these emails and pin-point the miscreants, especially those demanding money from a (supposed) friend and automatically send a message to the authorities that matter to deal with.

I wouldn’t give the details of my bank to anyone even if the person I knew personally was really in dire straits, as every country has an Embassy that they can get help from, and having worked for the Government in the Passport Office many moons ago, I do know how the system works, so don’t be fooled by these THIEVING LAZY GOOD FOR NOTHING TYKES who scam the internet to take all your money.

AND JUST REMEMBER – BANKS DO NOT SEND EMAILS TO CUSTOMERS FOR THEIR BANK DETAILS.  SHOULD YOU GET SUCH A MESSAGE – DELETE IT!

Toy Snatchers

I bet the thieves are pleased with themselves, having stolen £2,000 worth of toys, knowing that the proceeds were going to the Chestnut House Hospice for Children.

HOW LOW CAN SCUM-BAGS STOOP!

It is a good job that some very kind citizens from Eastbourne have come to the rescue and the children were able to have their toys given by Father Christmas at Pistachio’s Princes Park.

A Hospital Just Too Far!

How many mothers are going to experience the trauma of having their babies delivered in the back of a vehicle?  Do we have to wait for someone to die before something is done to rectify this problem – having to drive from Hailsham to Hastings is just as difficult as driving from Eastbourne, and I have noticed that roads are already corroding from the patchwork repairs by EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL.

And lastly………I would like to wish everyone a very Happy and Healthy New Year and pray for Peace.
