Crescendo Rotary Choir is holding a concert on Saturday evening (June 28) to raise funds for a new Spirometer for Worthing Hospital.
All the proceeds from the concert at Our Lady of Sion Senior School, Gratwicke Road, Worthing, will go to purchase the specialist equipment used in the diagnoses of many lung diseases.
The theme of the event is Transport of Delight, and the audience can enjoy a programme of light choral arrangements, solo performances and some audience participation.
Tickets cost £8.50 and reservations can be made in advance by calling 01903 239 230, or bought on the door. The concert starts at 7.30pm.
Choir Director Alma Cronin said: “I do hope people will enjoy this year’s theme which was inspired by the Flanders & Swan song .
“All 60 of the choir members have been working hard on the exciting programme for many weeks now, and we are delighted to a have a number of guest performers too.
“It is surprising how many modes of transport we have found to sing about!”
Previously the choir has raised money for the Scanner Appeal at Worthing Hospital and also ‘eyessee’, an international charity founded by a consultant surgeon Mr Sal Rassam in the ophthalmic department of Worthing Hospital.
Mrs Cronin added: “We in the Crescendo Rotary Choir feel it is very important to help our local hospital.
“The money we raise becomes so much more when it is realised how the equipment helps so many people in our area.”
