South Downs Leisure have proudly taken delivery of 32 brand-new, state-of-the-art Matrix spin bikes at two of their 100-station gyms, set to revolutionise spinning classes.
Boasting four information screens and a variety of smart programmes to suit the cycler’s riding style, their age, weight and progression, riders have far greater control over intensity levels.
Whether you’re familiar with the intense, cycling-based classes or a beginner, the new bikes feature 100 different levels of resistance and ‘flick of the wrist’ controls.
Developed by the world’s largest indoor cycling equipment corporation, the Indoor Cycling Group (ICG), the bike is particularly useful for high performance riders with a smooth, new, revolutionary flywheel design.
Jon Johnston, Managing Director of Johnson Health Tech UK who supplied the bikes said;
“The resistance belt has been specially designed by Porsche for maximum durability and the bikes feature a narrower crank with many seat and handlebar positions that feel more like a road bike than a spin bike. They really are a significant leap forward in spinning bike technology.”
Duncan Anderson, Chief Executive of South Downs Leisure, said of the new bikes;
“We specifically invested in the new Matrix bikes because we want to offer our customers the best experience at our centres. Matrix offer advanced, reliable equipment that is backed-up by excellent after sales and support so that the bikes stay in great shape for years to come.”
Local Councillor, Clive Roberts, and frequent spinning class user, also approves of the new spin-bike technology, adding;
“I really enjoy using the new bikes, they are a significant leap forward for the user.”
Spin classes are bookable for members and non-members of FIT4, and for more information on spin classes and other activities across five leisure sites, visit: www.southdownsleisure.co.uk or call 01903 905050
