Have we got to dip our hands in our pockets to purchase Caroline Ansell a map of Eastbourne & Willingdon because at the moment she has not been seen as a working representative for this District. I understand from resources that she has attended a concert and I suppose to some people of Eastbourne they must think that this is the border line of her job – just because she had made flattering remarks regarding that function. Like all Tories they tend to have the ability of getting their photographs in the newspapers without having to do anything of importance.
Having listened to the Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne give out his first budget of doom in a language that defies understanding to some of us, including yours truly, it was gratifying that a ex Lib Dem Minister defined the important hidden messages of a bleak existence ahead for the Public Sector, the poor, the Pensioners and probably the middle class. Had I seen a smirk rather than a smile from D.C. as George Osborne sat down after reading out his budget? Well done George, you’ve done a good job – you have managed to protect the rich from having to pay extra taxes.
Having made an example of the cost of living for a pensioner, they chose an ex bank manager who quoted “I think George Osborne has done a wonderful job.” Of course he would make that statement, he, the ex bank manager is probably on a private pension of £3,000 or more a month from the bank he worked for plus the state pension.
D.C. and his comic party tend to make these judgements on a sloping playing field in their favour so that the balls just roll into a goal mouth that is the width of the football field.
I understand that from the year 2017 the public sector could be worse off by at least £2,000 a year. Our nurses and doctors are doing a wonderful job under many constraints. This is because budgets for NHS Hospitals have been systematically and dramatically cut under a cloak of sly underhand wording that may indicate better conditions, but in fact have an opposite effect. It is no wonder that doctors and nurses are looking for alternative places of work and many are seeking employment abroad and who can blame them.
The government are dismantling the NHS before our very eyes and for them to prove otherwise in layman’s language I am yet to be convinced. Hospital administrators are helping to make life threatening decisions to patients every day, maybe they are using the Government cuts as an excuse for doing so, but really they do this to protect their own salaries – so what price is a LIFE WORTH?
The people of Eastbourne and Willingdon had voted for the wrong reason and I can understand that no-one wanted another coalition government, yet our ex Lib-Dem Minister Stephen Lloyd of Eastbourne & Willingdon didn’t deserve to be made a scapegoat for other people’s selfish gains which you are certainly not going to get under the existing Tory Government. You’ve made your beds, so sleep on them for the next five years and may they turn out very lumpy!
