Ambitious plans for colleagues who launch new transport company

Seventeen years after starting new jobs at the same company Anthony Champness and Jon Payne are celebrating the launch of their own business – Synergix Logistics Solutions.

The duo joined Geodis on the very same day in the year 2003 – Anthony as an Import audit manager and Jon as transport manager – and have now joined forces to launch their own business.

Synergix, which has premises in High Wycombe and Hinckley, began trading on July 1 and two days later the company officially joined Fortec Distribution Network.

Anthony explained: “We work well together, are both creative and have lots of experience in the sector. Joining Fortec was one of our first decisions and just 10 weeks later we are on track for a multi-million-pound turnover.”

Jon added: “Our initial priority, having secured customers, was to deliver on our promises and fulfil orders. Now though we want to turn our attention to new business. We plan to enhance our European service and expand our business in and around Greater London.”

Support from Fortec’s marketing team is proving key to these plans.

“The marketing team have designed us a new website, helped us create business cards, leaflets, brochures and more,“ said Anthony. “We would never have had the time or expertise to do this ourselves and this support means we can now promote our services beyond our existing customer database. We are ambitious and confident about the future.”

Adrian Bradley, Manager Director of Fortec Distribution Network, added: “This impressive duo have already achieved great success and we are proud to be an integral part of this and delighted that our marketing team has been able to offer such valuable support.”

Synergix provides palletised distribution across the UK and its target is to achieve at least £5m turnover within the first two years.  The company employs 16 office and warehouse staff, 10 of whom are based in High Wycombe and six in Hinckley. The company have a large driving team across both depots and a fleet that consists of seven artics, 20 trailers, 18 rigids and two vans.

The company’s primary service is UK wide pallet network distribution, with next day pallet, and part and full load services. They focus on collection and delivery throughout London and the home counties.

At the start of September, they launched a new Synergix Same Day service, offering existing and new customers UK wide same day solutions from High Wycombe and Hinckley. Two more locations are due to be launched next year.
