Animated Boy and Human Comedian Unite in Worthing

The next half term break sees six-year-old Little Howard, one of the world’s only live interactive animated comedians, joined by his human creator stand-up comedian Howard Read, known as Big Howard, in Little Howard’s Big Show for Kids on Wednesday May 28th at Worthing’s Connaught Studio.

Little Howard has won many awards despite having just celebrated his 6th birthday (for the tenth year in a row). He is also the co-author of Little Howard’s Big Book and has appeared on The Royal Variety Performance, CBBC’s The Slammer and his own show on BBC1, Little Howard’s Big Question.

In Little Howard’s Big Show for Kids, Little Howard discovers life is tough in showbiz; his big new act keeps going wrong, Roger the Pigeon has spent all their money on cookie cutters, his comedy counterpart Big Howard has been diagnosed with being clinically unfunny and there’s a slug in the backstage toilet. Just when he thought things cold not get worse, a sinister figure arrives and Big Howard and Little Howard have to put on the best show of their lives to keep themselves out of jail.

Big Howard and Little Howard’s show includes interactive stand-up, live animation on stage and lots of jokes and songs suitable for all the family. They have currently toured internationally to Melbourne, New York, Stockholm and Aspen with accompanying television appearances on NBC’s The Tonight Show with Jay Leno, ABC Australia’s The Melbourne International Comedy Festival Gala.

In addition to his work as a children’s comedian and animator, Howard Read is an acclaimed stand-up comedian for adults. His solo TV appearances include Paramount Comedy Channel’s The World Stands Up and BBC3’s 28 Acts in 28 Minutes. He co-wrote six-part series, Peacefully in Their Sleeps for BBC Radio 4 and has also written for Horrible Histories, CBBC’s Fit, CBeebies’ Gigglebiz and continues to work on a number of TV animation projects.

Little Howard’s Big Show for Kids promises to be a great half term treat and can be seen at the Connaught Studio, Union Place, Worthing. BN11 1LG on Wednesday May 28th at 2.00pm with tickets available from the box office on 01903 206 206 or online at www.worthingtheatres.co.uk
