Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club, East Sussex, has named concierge Philip Levy as its employee of the year, for exemplifying the exceptional customer service the country house hotel is famed for.
To be selected as employee of the year a member of staff has to have been nominated for a G.E.M (Going the Extra Mile award) in that year to be put forward, before all members of staff vote anonymously out of all the G.E.M nominees. Philip won almost unanimously.
Philip has been a concierge at Ashdown Park for just one year and has received frequent, outstanding comments from guests and staff members for his assistance and wealth of knowledge.
Ben Booker, general manager at Ashdown Park Hotel, said: “Philip is a real asset to our hotel. His cheerfulness and desire to help not only enhances every guest’s stay, but also makes him a much loved and well-respected colleague. Nothing is ever too much trouble for him, and he is always eager to help both guests and colleagues alike.”
Philip was presented with his award in front of his colleagues, and received a bottle of Champagne along with a two-night break at any hotel within the Elite Hotels group.
