Award Winning Drama School launches in Eastbourne

Brighton’s award winning Academy of Creative Training (ACT) is launching a stage and film summer school program for 7-18 year olds in Eastbourne one month today.
Act Kids Theatre (AKT) will offer two weeklong age specific classes in drama and acting between 11-15th and 18-22nd August in their new Station Street premises.
Eastbourne based actor and head of the new school Aaron Tonks, 26 says AKT will provide local youngsters with a “relaxed environment” to “have fun and build friendships”.
“It’s not just training. It’s about building friendships and learning from our tutors who are all industry professionals too.”
“We run on a non profit making basis so we can offer quality actor training at affordable prices.”
Each summer school week culminates in a short performance for student’s families.
AKT after-school clubs will begin from 22nd September and offer children the chance to take Trinity exams that can be turned into UCAS points for university.
ACT has been running acting courses for children and adults since 1997. Its patrons include television presenter Lionel Blair, actor Nickolas Grace and West End star Patricia Hodge.
