The internationally recognised Hastings Beatles Day returns to the White Rock Theatre, Hastings on Sunday 3rd April 2016 from 12 Noon to 11.00pm. This will be the 17th Beatles Day with 350 performers playing Beatles songs in their own style, for up to 20 minutes each, and including many first time and young performers, who will join the list of established favourites.
This year promises to be even bigger than before, with three stages, including the new acoustic stage in the first floor cafe. Performances will cover all genres including acapella, folk, rock, blues, soul, funk, classical, Latin and dance… even some heavy metal, but every one will be a Beatles classic.
Performers on the day should include The 1066 Rockitmen, A Piano Gang, The Abbey Rodeo Band, The Beagles, Bedridden Sea Creatures, Martin Blackman & Friends, Blue Devils, The Conquest Choir, Diplodocus, Zachary Dogwood, The Electric Beatles, Russell Field & Friends, The Flying Teapots, Gypsy John & The Cinque Port Lindy Hoppers, Hastings Stage Studio, Jiggery Pokery, The Kavemen, Ritchie Lee & The Easy Kats, No Exit, Norwegians Would, The Rockin Ambassadors, Rusty Nuts, Gary Skipsey & Nigel Bagge, Solo Beatles, Tallulah Lilly Savage, Total Mayhem, Twangbats and Sticks, Vexed, Wax Collector, The White Rock Ukele Orchestra and The Wobblies
The theatre restaurant and licensed bars will be open throughout the day, as will the popular Beatles Day shop, and there will also be an exhibition of original Beatles art and memorabilia from the Fab Four’s career.
A great day out for all who enjoy some of the best music from undoubtedly the most influential pop band in history, performed live with all of the musicians, performers, organisers and helpers donating their time completely free and all the money raised going to Macmillan Cancer Support to help people in Sussex living with cancer.
Entry is by wristband, so you can come and go as you please throughout the day but, please note, although wristbands can be purchased on the door they may be very limited so booking in advance is highly recommended.
