When Brow Lamination hit the beauty industry by storm, I think most were thinking “what is going on with the world”? Everyone seemed to love the perfect precision brow effect of the treatment and then overnight these brows, that reminded me of Sonic the Hedgehog, were in fashion. Surely this is going to last a few weeks and then disappear I thought…but they didn’t! I personally really didn’t like them and thought no one could change my mind, until my trainers wanted to offer it as a training course so we added the technique to our roster and after all my salon team trained in the treatment they managed to change my mind – I had fallen in love with this this new craze!
I personally have had most things done to my brows over the years – semi permanent makeup, microblading, HD Brows, KG Brows. All of these techniques give you brows that are quite structured which I really like, but as my brows are not that full, the fluffiness that Brow Lamination gives I totally adored! Like anything, Brow Lamination has evolved. When a new treatment hits the industry, it takes a lot of tweaking and changing to get it right. Plus real life education helps to see who would suit the new treatment.
So what is Brow Lamination?
It is the ultimate solution to position the eyebrow hairs into a desired shape. This treatment will create uniformed, defined brows, the latest trend for fuller, bushy eyebrows. It will also solve uneven brows where the eyebrow hairs follow a different growth pattern. A lot of clients of mine thought they couldn’t have it done if didn’t have much brow hair, but this treatment is fabulous for this as you can place the hairs in position to make them look fuller. Brow Lamination also includes a tint if required so this will enhance the brows also.
How much is a Brow Lamination?
Brow Lamination usually takes around 45 minutes and the price depends on location but it’s approximately £35-£60 for a treatment and lasts 6-8 weeks. You may wish to get a tint and wax between to keep your brows maintained between your lamination appointments.
Patch tests are required, so make sure you go to a reputable salon or therapist for brow treatments. The importance of patch testing is huge and since Covid, we are seeing horrific reactions with some being hospitalised. I know lots of people are time poor, and just want to get a treatment done, but trust me you don’t want to risk not having a quick patch test at least 24 hours before your treatment. This is the same for lash extensions, tinting, lash lifts and colouring your hair!
If you haven’t had Brow Lamination before and are a little worried whether you’ll like it, you could use a brow glue to brush them in place to see if you like the look before having the treatment done. KG Professional offer a new Brow Glue with caster oil that not only keeps the brows moisturised and in place but will promote hair growth too. Win win!
