Burgess Hill will be abuzz with fun and entertainment for all the family at the town’s Christmas Celebrations and Christmas Lights Switch On, taking place in the town centre on Saturday 23 November. The event, organised by Burgess Hill Town Centre Partnership, runs from 11am to 5.30pm with the lights being switched on by Father Christmas at 5pm at The Bandstand.
Entertainment includes appearances from Peppa Pig and George at intervals as well as Once Upon a Magical Time Princesses Snow White and Belle. Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without the man himself, so Father Christmas will be in town too. Plus Jack from Heart Breakfast will be switching on the town’s Christmas lights at 5pm.
There will also be a FREE ice rink plus children’s fun fair rides and entertainment from Fantastiko’s Reindeer, with music, a market and more. Most of the entertainment will be free!
There will be a chance to win some early Christmas presents with Heart’s Wheel Of Fortune, including a luxury spa day donated by Alexander House Hotel & Utopia Spas.
Children aged 11 years and under are invited to take part in a Fancy Dress Competition to be in with a chance of winning a Google Nexus 7 PC Tablet donated KFC Burgess Hill. The winner will also take part in the parade with Father Christmas to switch on the Christmas Lights. The theme for the competition is ‘Christmas’ and entrants’ just need to turn up at the Bandstand in Church Walk at 4pm for the judging.
So come and join the festive fun at Burgess Hill’s Christmas Celebrations – the perfect way to start your Christmas shopping! Full details about the Christmas Celebrations and Lights Switch On including a programme for the day can be found at www.cometoburgesshill.co.uk.
