West Sussex County Council is proposing changes to the number 50 Graylingwell bus service and wants to know what people think.
It is running an online public consultation about suggested changes to the service.
The number 50, run by Stagecoach, has low passenger numbers at certain times during the day.
Detailed analysis for each journey show low numbers of people use the service early in the morning and late in the evening.
This makes the number 50 expensive to run.
West Sussex County Council is proposing to reduce the number of journeys, while making sure the core service continues.
Proposed changes:
Monday to Saturday:
• The service will continue to run every 30 minutes.
• The first journey departure will be unchanged.
• The last journey will leave Chichester Bus Station at 7.25pm (the service currently runs until 10.46pm).
Sunday:
• The service will run every hour from about 9.15am to 7.15pm (the current service runs every half-hour from 8.46am until 9.46pm).
The County Council is keen to know the views of passengers and others who may be affected by the proposed changes.
The online consultation is running until Tuesday, April 12 so people can comment.

West Sussex County Council’s Cabinet Member for Highways and Transport, John O’Brien, said: “We want as many people as possible, whether they are passengers or someone affected by the proposed changes, to tell us what they think.
“The more people who take part, the more informed we can be when making any decision.
“Please go online and have your say.”
The number 50 is funded by Linden Homes, the developer of Graylingwell Park.
