Dunelm, the UK’s leading homewares retailer, has announced the opening of a brand-new, high street store in Crawley on Thursday, 28th May.
The new store aims to bring Dunelm highlights, that have been handpicked by Dunelm’s design team and local customers in focus groups, to create a ‘Crawley Edit’ on the high street.
Featuring dedicated live, eat and sleep zones as well as inspirational room sets. The extended range of products available online are also made shoppable through displays, interactive digital content, and augmented reality where you can see curtains, blinds and wallpaper come to life.
The eagerly awaited, ‘Edit’ store was due to open on the 2nd April, but to protect colleagues and customers, this was delayed as Dunelm closed its stores, until recently where they have reopened stores in a phased approach.
At the start of May, the government approved the reopening of homeware stores, but Dunelm waited until they felt ready and confident in their safety measures. After much planning and preparation, and enlisting the help of experts from the NHS, Government and Trading Standards, Dunelm has safely begun to reopen their stores.
Dunelm will have strict guidelines to ensure social distancing and hygiene practices are maintained. These guidelines include a limit on the number of people in the store, enhanced cleaning regimes in all areas, and protective equipment provided for all colleagues.

We have taken the best of what we do over the past 4o years and listened to what our customers want, to create this smaller format and share what we hope will be welcome Dunelm Highlights on the Crawley High Street.”
Many people are excited to visit their local store, but Dunelm also understands that some people may feel uncertain about it, so they have introduced new ways of shopping. There is something for everyone, from contactless deliveries to virtual appointments with a personal shopper or a Made to Measure consultant.
