Charities and community projects in the South Mid Sussex area are being urged not to miss out on funding.
The Sussex Newspaper has been told that South Mid Sussex County Local Committee (CLC) has more than £8,000 left to allocate from its Community Initiative Fund for the 2014/15 financial year. So, what are you waiting for?
Committee Chairman Peter Griffiths said: “Through the Community Initiative Fund we have been able to give grants to a variety of projects which have made a difference to people in our area, including costs towards the construction and provision of a bus shelter and bench, a new community noticeboard and the provision of a disabled toilet and kitchen facilities.
“I would encourage any individual or group in the South Mid Sussex area who need assistance with a project that will benefit the community to send us their application as soon as possible.
“We’d love to help more people, and I’m sure there are lots of wonderful and worthy charities or organisations that would benefit from our help.”
The deadline for applications to South Mid Sussex CLC’s Community Initiative Fund is Wednesday 28 January 2015.
Application forms and information on how to apply, as well as eligibility criteria, can be found on the Community Initiative Funding page.
Grant applications will be considered at the South Mid Sussex CLC meeting, which will be held at 7.00pm on Tuesday 24 February 2015 at Woodlands Meed School, Chanctonbury Road, Burgess Hill, West Sussex, RH15 9EY.
