Holocaust or Pandemic!

Since the world was created there have been wars and disasters galore.  Take for example the last war when people denied there was no such thing as the Holocaust, when millions of Jews were executed for no reason other than one person who thought their race had failed the fair haired race of perfection or perhaps mainly life in his eyes was a cheap commodity.

Today unfortunately we still have people of that persuasion who disbelieve that a pandemic does exist and the people that are dying have pneumonia or influenza which I find quite ludicrous.

Of course it was inevitable that a second wave was going to happen, although the powers that be failed to see it happening and on this point I just wondered whether they saw what was happening and decided not to take urgent measures to stem this disease earlier.  Whether the Prime Minister and the Chancellor were thinking about the economy having had to make promises that included giving away vast sums of money to businesses has to be considered and in conclusion I can only come to one answer that life seems to be again, a cheap commodity for different reasons.

There are two ways of looking at this – less population less taxes is a brutal calculation!  It is not all the Government’s fault though that this second wave has happened, because people jumped the gun when figures were dipping and people flocked to the seaside.  Persons flew off to other countries on holiday, held protest marches and gatherings without social distancing and without masks.  Of course coming back to the disbelievers who still persist in ignoring what is happening in the world are spreading the disease and there are people who are refusing to have the vaccine because they don’t trust the NHS.

Tell me what was the point of the Labour Party creating the NHS all those years ago?  I tell you why – it was created to save people’s lives. They saved my life!  There is nothing like this system anywhere and it is the envy of the rest of the world.  Mind you it was the intention of the Conservative Party to try and close down this institution that has survived with honours because they believed that people should pay for their health.  Slowly and methodically this government were holding on to much needed finances to boost the NHS, even though promises had been made.  Perhaps the Prime Minister‘s stay in hospital with covid-19 convinced him otherwise that it was a good system to have for everyone.

The above is just my opinion and anyone who wants to write to me care of the newspaper regarding this content – please do so!  Swear words are not accepted.
