Keith Jenner is new The Sussex Newspaper columnist

JennerI started a career in Hospitality for a summer job when I was 18, a conference porter setting up conference rooms and serving coffee breaks to meetings.

I suddenly had a passion to see what else the Hospitality industry could offer me. I loved the passion for customer service and held positions such has Head Waiter and Assistant Conference and Banqueting Manager at Ashdown Park in Wych Cross. I then moved to London and to a much larger operations at the then Conrad in Chelsea Harbour and Royal Garden Hotel in Kensington where I held the position of Assistant Conference and Banqueting Manager. I moved on to management positions out of the hotel industry such as Gillingham Football Club and worked as General Manager for Kent County Council’s Conference Centre in Maidstone.

Throughout my career training and development has been a huge interest and I have spent the last 5 years assessing qualifications in Food and Beverage, Team Leading, Management also working as a trainer and coach motivating and supporting ex offenders into work. I started the Talent Development Consultancy to support organisations to develop their talent to reduce costs, produce better results and retain their best staff ensuring consistency of service and delivery.

Development programmes are completely tailored to the organisations values, requirements and desired results – all delivered within interactive sessions and ongoing support between sessions for employees ensuring all knowledge areas are embedded. I am looking forward to sharing thought, new ideas and opinions on employee development areas of business.
