Local people from across the community in Adur have come together to create some colourful outdoor art based on knitting which is being displayed for everyone to see this June.
As part of ‘The Yarn Trail,’ street furniture and buildings including Shoreham and Lancing Library, have been covered in woolly decorations made from yarn and it has all been coordinated by Over the Moon, a creative collective based in Shoreham.
The trail is taking place from 2 to 17 June in Lancing, Shoreham and Southwick.
Art-lovers and residents alike can download a Yarn Trail guide which includes a route map, quizzes and competitions for all ages.

It can also be collected from venues around Adur.
After the exhibition has finished, the woolly panels used will be deconstructed into blankets for charities including Worthing Churches Homeless Project.
Emily Phillips from Over the Moon said: “A year ago we started inviting people throughout Adur and beyond to knit or crochet squares for our Yarn 20/20 community project.
“We are very excited that we are finally able to show off everyone’s contributions in The Yarn Trail.
“We are grateful to support from West Sussex County Council and the Sussex Community Foundation which has enabled the project to reach many people and improve wellbeing of all ages in Adur.”
Debbie Kennard, West Sussex County Council Cabinet Member for Safer, Stronger Communities, said: “This is such a great example of the community coming together to make a creative, exciting project happen.
“It’s wonderful to see two of our own buildings, Shoreham Library and Lancing Library, taking part.
“I would encourage as many people as possible to visit the district and enjoy the Yarn Trail!
“It is projects like this that make West Sussex so special and I hope it inspires others to think about projects for their own areas too.”
