Locally sorted

Lewes District Council is exploring a new way of working with residents, businesses and the community sector. The idea is to use the internet to find practical solutions to real life problems, by making a “Locally Sorted” website – the first of its kind in the UK. There is no big plan that has already been decided, and anyone can be involved. We are starting with a free creative workshop in the Clinton Centre, Seaford from 6.30 – 9 p.m. on Wednesday 9th April. Bookings can be made via the Council on 01273 471600 or by searching the Seaford events at the website www.eventbrite.com. A light buffet will be provided.

What the site would contain, and how it could look, will be designed jointly with the community. There are great potential benefits, and the workshop will be of particular interest to anyone who has worked as a volunteer or who has ideas about how businesses, the Council and the local community can work better together. “Locally Sorted” will take several months to develop, and there will be regular opportunities to get involved and try out prototypes. Email locally.sorted@lewes.gov.uk for further information.
