Evolution Productions, the producers of The Hawth’s annual pantomime have auditioned nearly 200 young hopefuls for the juvenile roles in this year’s Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
Throughout the afternoon the children were taught a dance routine and put through their paces, eventually twenty four dancers were chosen to join the cast, which will also star TV personality Stephen Mulhern as Billy and Michael J Batchelor will be returning to The Hawth as the Dame.
Dancers were chosen from Crawley and the local area, some of which have performed in previous pantomimes at The Hawth, for others it will be a new and enriching experience. They are all excited and delighted and looking forward to the fun beginning in December.
Producer Paul Hendy who is also writing this year’s extravaganza was overwhelmed by the response from the local performers. Paul said, ‘We had an unprecedented response to this year’s auditions with more dancers turning up than ever before to be part of Snow White. The standard was consistently high and it was very difficult to choose only twenty four. We’ve definitely auditioned some fantastic performers today – they will be a real asset to the cast of Snow White.’
Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs is the Hawth’s fastest selling pantomime to date and is on track to break all The Hawth’s Box Office records before it opens on 8 December where it runs until 7 January 2018.
Tickets for the spectacular Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs are available from The Hawth Box Office on 01293 553636 or hawth.co.uk
