Marjorie Proops Syndrome

I started out this morning writing my column when I became aware that I had become more like a Marjorie Proops.  That’s not like me I thought – perhaps it’s because Christmas is just around the corner and more and more people are going to find it difficult to give someone a present due to escalating costs of electricity, gas and other commodities that seem to raise their ugly heads around this time of the year.  The one danger that is lurking in the corners are the money lenders who can make your dreams come true and people might take advantage from this “ANGEL OF MERCY FROM HEAVEN” – but be warned after your perfect Christmas comes to an end you may think yourself in HELL!

Candy Crush

One of the few games that one can down load onto an Ipad, Iphone and anything else in between is a very addictive game and you the player will have much fun with it until you get to a certain stage – is there a flaw in the programme – yes and no?  Having to get three symbols in a row is your first task and as you progress with the game, you will find that half the groups of three are not in any way helpful in getting the bunch of cherries and hazel nuts down the bottom of the screen and off out of sight.

A wonderful game for someone who wants a bit of fun!

Pet Rescue seems to be in the same category and up to a certain point it is fun and addictive, but after a while it becomes an impossible task to rescue pets without spending money and even that is no guarantee that you will proceed or succeed.

It is a shame someone can’t create a game without exploiting players to part with their money – still I suppose it is a matter of choice whether you pay for assistance to finish the game.  I got up to level 65 and then deleted the programme!

Paved With Gold

It seems to be more and more a ‘Dog Eat Dog’ society and especially with the migration of so many foreigners who have heard that the Governments that have presided over this fair land of ours are a ‘soft touch’ and although we are a small country, we are all ‘milk and honey.’  The pavements are made of gold and they all lead to number 10 Downing Street.  It is about 20 years too late for this Government to make a ‘U-TURN’ on what the true British public have been stating for decades.

Speaking of Pavements

Regarding pavements, they are becoming as dangerous as some of our roads that have not been re-surfaced by EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL.  Apparently and so I have heard through a certain grapevine that shall be nameless, the ESCC have a vast amount of money at their disposal, but are not willing to give the service that is necessary to make our roads and pavements safe to drive and walk on.
