Moral Issues

I don’t know about you but a £17,000 pay off for cheating and defrauding the public who have to pay exorbitant taxes is really taking the piss to new heights.  Now the alleged person has left the Government employment, surely that person should go to prison.  I always thought that fraud is still a crime and should you or I fraudulently claim for something that you or I are not entitled to our little feet wouldn’t touch the carpet.  The Judge would give us at least a 12 year sentence or is there a different law for these people?

It makes you wonder whether you can trust anybody that governs this Country.  Is  everything they do is for the benefit of the British people?  It strikes me that the listing of the government’s good intentions that are in their manifesto is coupled with schemes of how to dupe the public by taking away the benefits that Senior Citizens already have.  There was a mention from an MP to take away the free TV license and the free Bus Pass.  Instead of doing that I have a very good suggestion – why don’t all the MP’s take a cut in their wages and those that fall asleep in the House of Parliament should only take home 50% of their pay.  This would go a long way to improve ROADS, NHS; to name a few ongoing problems.

EAST SUSSEX COUNTY COUNCIL

So sorry to mention the ESCC again – but don’t you think it is about time you repaired the roads?  It is all very well putting chalk marks round all the holes in East Sussex so the drivers can take evasive action so as not to damage their vehicles and make claims, which I have been reliably informed, have a better chance of getting blood out a stone, although there seems to be a difference of opinion in that one National Paper reported that local Councils had paid out £1.4 million on motorists’ insurance claims or do pigs really fly.

I PAD ADVERTISEMENT HEALTH RISK?

Beware those people who own I PAD 1 or 2 who like to have a game on their devices and especially those people who suffer from having epileptic fits.  There is a certain game which is free to download – a card game called “HEARTS.”  I like to play this game, but it flashes a FREE GAME in BLACK AND WHITE at regular intervals.  Whether it is ITUNES or some other APP STORE – PLEASE DESIST WITH THIS ADVERTISEMENT – if people want a free download, they will do so.  You are putting people’s health in jeopardy by doing this.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST

I have been reliably informed that the Eastbourne Gilbert & Sullivan Society are performing “The Pirates of Penzance” at the renowned Devonshire Park Theatre, Eastbourne from Tuesday 6th to Saturday 10th May 2014.  Evenings at 7:45pm.  Matinees on Wednesday & Saturday at 2:30pm.  Box Office (01323) 412000 or Credit Card Hotline (01323) 411555.  In support of the charity “jpk project”

The words Pirate and Pilot play a major part in Frederic’s circumstances and he finds himself in the wrong career because of a mis-understanding of the two words mentioned because his nursemaid Ruth who was ‘ard of ‘earing.  He finds himself still in a quandary as his birthday falls on the 29th February and of course he would be out of the Pirates Indentures when reaching his 21st birthday.   The master of lyrics Gilbert always finds a way out for the hero, along with the beautiful music of Sullivan accompanying to make you leave the theatre still singing.

I understand that it is not a traditional production, but if anybody saw the company that performed H.M.S. Pinafore at the Devonshire Park Theatre with an all male cast that certainly was not a traditional production, but by the number of people attending, it hadn’t deterred anyone from seeing the production.

I understand there are a few surprises to watch out for in the Eastbourne Gilbert & Sullivan Society’s Production of The Pirates of Penzance.   Come and join the fun!
