Seaford Musical Theatre’s production of Beauty and the Beast has been proclaimed ‘the most successful show ever held at the Barn Theatre’.
“Not only did ticket sales exceed all our expectations,” said SMT Chairman, Shar Turnbull “but the audiences, cast and crew had the time of their lives during the show run which spanned two weekends for the first time to accommodate requests for more matinee performances.”
The final audience on Sunday 20th January included Councillor Michael Chartier, the Chair of Lewes District Council with his wife Monica and a large group from the CTLA travel club, which offers weekly trips to shopping centres and days out to places of local interest for members as part of a ‘door to door’ service.
One regular audience member, Michael Barry, was so enthralled with the performance that he returned to watch six of the eight performances and was delighted when he was invited onto the stage to have his picture taken with the cast.
The next show at the Barn Theatre will be the nations favourite musical ‘Grease’ from 4th-6th April and tickets can be purchased at www.ticketsource.co.uk/thebarntheatre or from the Tourist Information Centre during opening hours.
