Eastbourne’s Congress Theatre is delighted to welcome back Andrew Lloyd Webber’s record breaking 2015 Olivier award nominated musical CATS which returns to Eastbourne direct from its sell-out seasons at the London Palladium, for 1 week only from Monday 22nd August.
Adapted from TS Eliot’s ‘Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats’, this “groundbreaking musical” (Daily Express) comes together in a sparkling fusion of music, dance and verse, and has now taken on a new life for a new generation.
On just one special night of the year, all Jellicle cats meet at the Jellicle Ball where Old Deuteronomy, their wise and benevolent leader, makes the Jellicle choice and announces which of them will go up to The Heaviside Layer and be re-born into a whole new Jellicle life.
With timeless music, spectacular sets and a superb cast together with breath-taking choreography and, of course, the unforgettable song ‘Memory’, CATS is a magical musical like no other.
Don’t miss CATS at the Congress Theatre, Eastbourne from Monday 22nd – Saturday 27th August with nightly performances at 7.30pm and Thursday and Saturday matinees at 2.30pm. Tickets are priced from £18.50, with concessions available, and can be booked by calling the box office on 01323 412000 or online at www.eastbournetheatres.co.uk.
