There’s problems in the states of America
A rift that goes far and wide
Who to elect as president
The problem is they cannot decide
There’s a rift between all races
The Hispanic, the Muslims the blacks
There’s a fight going on in the White House Between republicans and democrats
This debate has damaged a nation
But For how long remains to be seen
Can the new president put the pieces together
Can they rebuild the American Dream
There has been lies, deceit, and abuse
There’s been scandal, shame and disgust
that’s the reason why so many voters
Have so much disbelief and mistrust
It will take a great deal of fixing
That no hammer, wrench or spanner
Could help in repairing the damage
Now done to the star spangled banner
So Take heed all future candidates
Who yearn for the presidential seat
There’s much damage caused to the nation
By your spin doctors lies and deceit
Don’t make the election personal
It never was about you
It’s about the disadvantaged many not about the well off few
