The Full Monty Goes All The Way in Brighton

David Pugh & Dafydd Rogers, the multi award winning theatre producers, present the final ever UK and Ireland tour of Simon Beaufoy’s The Full Monty. Based on the smash hit film and adapted for the stage, the production heads to the Theatre Royal Brighton from Monday 21st – Saturday 26th January.

The Full Monty stage play has become one of the most phenomenal theatrical productions ever. This chuffing brillIant production about six out of work, impoverished steelworkers from Sheffield with nothing to lose took the world by storm and has become one of Britain’s most successful shows. Based on his highly acclaimed, smash hit film and adapted for the stage by Oscar winning writer Simon Beaufoy, this hilarious and heartfelt production has received standing ovations every night and features the iconic songs from the film by Donna Summer, Hot Chocolate and Tom Jones.

This all-star cast will be led again by Gary Lucy (Hollyoaks, EastEnders, The Bill, Footballers’s Wives, winner of Dancing On Ice) who has made the part of Gaz his own, along with Andrew Dunn (Dinnerladies, Bremner, Bird & Fortune) as Gerald, Louis Emerick (Coronation Street, Benidorm, Brookside, Last of the Sumer Wine) as Horse, Joe Gill (Emmerdale) as Lomper, Kai Owen (Torchwood, Hollyoaks) as Dave and James Redmond (Hollyoaks, Casualty) as Guy.

Joining them will be Liz Carney as Jean, Amy Thompson as Mandy, Bryonie Pritchard as Linda and Keeley Fitzgerald as Sharon. Other cast members include Andrew Ashford, Stephen Donald, Alex Frost, Fraser Kelly and Lee Toomes.

The Full Monty is Simon Beaufoy’s first work for the theatre. His screen credits include: The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, Salmon Fishing in Yemen, Battle of the Sexes & Slumdog Millionaire as well as The Full Monty.

This new production will be directed by Rupert Hill, his credits include directing films including Leatherbird, Mole Hills, and Rolling with Punches. Rupert is also an actor and has been a previous Full Monty cast member and known from Coronation Street where he played Jamie Baldwin.
